Meet the Owner

Prior to starting Buckner Consulting, Lauren practiced law in both the public and private sectors.  She began her legal career at Thompson Coburn LLP in St. Louis, MO with extensive work in all phases of commercial and residential transactions and commercial financings.

Lauren's passion for helping the community brought her to the District of Columbia where she served as an Assistant Attorney General for the District of Columbia representing the D.C. Department of Housing and Community Development ("DHCD").  She represented DHCD in the acquisition and disposition of abandoned, vacant and blighted properties. 

After leaving public service, Lauren returned to private practice where she represented for profit and nonprofit businesses and developers in matters ranging from business and real estate development law, including, contract negotiation, lease negotiation, purchase and sale of residential and commercial properties and the development of multifamily projects.

Beyond her thriving practice, Lauren is a dynamic international speaker, best-selling co-author, and revered industry thought leader. With her unparalleled blend of legal acumen and business savvy, she continues to inspire and empower entrepreneurs worldwide to transform their visions into reality.
